What are my shipping options?
divide.gifACF480F.gif

You have two freight options.

Priority Airmail is our standard option and is included in all pricing you see on the screen, except for our Express Packs.. This highly reliable service delivers to the US & Pacific Rim within a target delivery window of  4 to 10 business days. We find that for major centers (eg NY or LA) that delivery is usually closer to the 4 day mark than the 10 day mark. Within the US, we guarantee you will receive parcels sent by this method.

(For orders exceeding US 360 we will automatically provide an Insure, Track & Trace Priority Airmail. This service has the same parameters and delivery targets as Priority Airmail, but your package is insured and we can provide a tracking number and url as well, for your convenience. We guarantee that you will receive parcels sent using this service.)

Express Packs are priced to include an Express Courier International service. This is a 2 to 4 business day service to the US & Pacific Rim, and requires a signature on delivery. Tracking number and url provided on your order history.(Additionally, most parcels can be upgraded to an Express service, but due to weight and shipping vagaries, you may pay a penalty on smaller parcels. We recommend using an Express Pack as the most cost-effective option if you are requiring your Gum2Go more rapidly. We guarantee that you will receive parcels sent using this service.

Why does product pricing change from time to time ?
divide.gifACF480F.gif

Our underlying database is maintained in NZD, but for your convenience we display all pricing in USD as a default.  When the respective strengths or weaknesses of the USD and NZD fluctuate, then so does the price shown on screen. On screen pricing is generated "on the fly" so is up to date. So as currency fluctuations occur there may, on occasion, be small apparent "increases" or " decreases" in price. We are very reluctant to increase prices as we are committed to delivering high quality products to you at competitive prices. Visa & Mastercard transactions are charged in USD - what you see onscreen is what your card is charged. Unfortunately, AMEX can only be charged in NZD - the USD amount is converted back to NZD and your card is charged accordingly. Some credit card companies may charge a fee on international transactions.

What happens when my credit card is charged ?
divide.gifACF480F.gif

We use an automated online payments solution. To translate this, this means that in the seconds following your pressing the Pay Now button, our system interrogates your bank's system to charge your card. This means that the vast majority of our transactions occur without human intervention. This enhanced security measure offers you extra peace of mind. We *will* manually process credit cards for email orders, but only in response to specific client request - such processing is handled personally and *only* by the site owner. Additionally, we use 128 bit SSL encrypted technology and have a THAWT secure certificate.

Can anything go wrong with this system ?  Well yes, 2 things can occasionally occur.

The first is that if a client double-clicks the Pay Now button then, on occasion, your card may be double-charged. Usually we will pick that and contact you to arrange a refund. Because some of your credit card details have been removed from our system, we will need to ask you for partial card information to be able to process your refund.

The second is more unusual. Some transactions will be declined and marked as "do not honour." This often surprises our clients who have no reason  to expect their card to be declined (!)
So why has the card been declined ?
It is our understanding and experience that credit card companies maintain security profiles on their clients. If an unusual transaction occurs, then that transaction may be blocked by the card-holder's credit card company for security reasons. Because we are based in New Zealand, this is sometimes enough to generate a block from the credit card company if, for example, the client has only previously used their card within the US. Once again, if this occurs we will usually contact you to explain that this is the case ( if you haven't already sent us a " why won't you honour my card?" email  :)
